Giving Back With Purpose: Our Journey With Share the Dignity
At Hope Diamonds & Gemstones, beautiful things have always been at the heart of what we do. But some of the most meaningful moments come when beauty is paired with purpose.
For the past eight years, I’ve quietly supported Share the Dignity through their annual It’s in the Bag campaign each November. What began as a small personal effort has grown into something far more powerful — and this year, we’re inviting our clients to be part of the journey.
How It Started
Each year, I would collect items throughout the months leading up to November — toiletries, essentials, and small comforts — and package them into bags for women doing it tough.
Typically, I would donate between 5 and 10 bags annually. It was always rewarding because this is a charity where you can truly see the impact. You’re not just giving money — you’re providing physical items that someone will open, use, and feel supported by.
There’s something incredibly tangible about that.
A Beautiful Step Forward
Last year, I decided to think bigger.
I reached out to my high school friends — friendships that have spanned more than 30 years — and asked if they’d like to pool our resources and see what we could achieve together.
Their response was immediate and enthusiastic.
Together, we created 140 bags for the November campaign.
It was an incredibly proud moment and a powerful reminder of what women can achieve when we come together to support other women.
Our Goal for This Year
This year, we’re setting our sights even higher.
Target: 200 bags for November
And we’re adding something very special to the mix:
20 New Mum & Bub bags
These bags provide essential items for new mothers and their babies at a time when support can mean everything. To help make this happen, my goal is to raise $1,000 to purchase these baby-focused packs.
Why This Charity Resonates So Deeply
There are many wonderful causes, but Share the Dignity has always felt especially close to my heart for three key reasons:
1. You can see the impact
Providing physical items creates a very real connection to the help being given.
2. Women helping women
At its core, this initiative is about dignity, care, and community between women.
3. It aligns with what I love
In my work, I spend my days sourcing beautiful, meaningful pieces. This initiative allows me to channel that same passion into something that directly supports our community.
It’s incredibly fulfilling to bring those two worlds together.
How Our March Pink Promotion Helps
Throughout the month of March, Hope Diamonds & Gemstones will be donating a portion of every pink or purple diamond and gemstone sale toward purchasing items for this year’s It’s in the Bag drive.

Our aim is to raise $1,000 in March to fund the New Mum & Bub bags within our 2026 contribution.
