Why we chose this stone

C4 sits right in the middle of the champagne scale, and that middle ground is part of what makes it so popular — warm enough to feel unmistakably golden, light enough to stay bright rather than heavy. This 0.26ct cushion cut carries that balance well. The cushion's rounded corners and mixed facet pattern break the colour up into small pockets of light rather than one flat wash, so the diamond reads as lively even at a smaller size. It's a shape that's always done well with champagne tones — soft enough not to fight the colour, faceted enough to keep the sparkle honest. Like every Argyle stone, it was mined from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia before the pipe closed for good.
