One grade up from the lightest on the scale, C2 introduces just a touch more presence than a C1 — still pale, but with a faint gold cast that's noticeable rather than barely-there. This 0.30ct round brilliant keeps the emphasis on brightness, letting that colour ride along as an undertone rather than the main event. The brilliant's facet pattern is built for exactly this kind of stone: plenty of light return, with just enough warmth showing through to distinguish it clearly from a standard white diamond. It's a grade that works well for buyers who want their Argyle provenance to read as understated rather than obvious. It comes from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, home to the now-closed Argyle mine.
