Why we chose this stone

At C6, a champagne diamond starts edging toward cognac — less honey, more amber, the kind of colour that looks like it's been sitting in oak. This 0.50ct emerald cut wears that depth openly. Where a brilliant cut breaks colour into a hundred small flashes, the emerald's long, step-cut facets do the opposite: they open up like a window, letting the stone's tone show through in broad, unbroken planes. It's a cut that rewards a diamond with genuine colour to show — and this one has it. Pulled from the same East Kimberley ground that produced the last of the world's Argyle stones before the mine's closure, it carries that quiet weight every Argyle diamond does now: there won't be more where this came from.
