Why we chose this stone
At C3, this is champagne diamond colour at its most intense — a deep, almost amber gold that sits at the top of the spectrum before colour tips into a different category altogether. This 0.58 carat radiant cut makes the most of that saturation: the cut's angular facets catch and hold the colour, giving the stone a dense, glowing quality that's rare to find in a piece this size.
It shares its origin with every stone in this collection — the Argyle mine in Western Australia, now closed, its stones no longer being drawn from the earth. There will be no more of these. Under a carat, this piece proves that intensity of colour matters more than sheer size — a small stone carrying one of the richest grades in the champagne spectrum, from a source that has quietly, permanently, run out.
