At C8, this 0.60ct cushion cut carries an exceptionally deep, saturated colour — darker and richer than the standard champagne range typically produces. The cushion's rounded corners and mixed facet pattern let that intensity pool and shift across the stone rather than settling flat, giving it real depth and movement as it catches the light. A colour this saturated was always the rarest possible outcome from Argyle's rough, regardless of carat weight, making a stone of this depth genuinely uncommon. It comes from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, the source of every Argyle diamond mined before the pipe's closure ended that supply permanently.
At 0.60ct, this stone carries bold, dark colour in a practical, wearable size — well suited to a statement ring, pendant, or as a striking accent piece. With the mine closed for good, a stone of this depth of colour is unlikely to be matched again.
