Why we chose this stone

The radiant cut blends the clean lines of a step cut with the sparkle of a brilliant, and paired with a rich C5 colour, that hybrid faceting really earns its keep. This 0.72ct stone carries a deep, confident gold tone that sits past the midpoint of the champagne scale, and the radiant's trimmed corners and layered facets break that colour into shifting flashes rather than one flat plane, giving the stone genuine movement and depth as it catches the light. It's a cut that flatters darker champagne grades particularly well, since the added faceting keeps saturated colour from ever looking dense or muddy. It comes from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, mined before the Argyle pipe's closure ended that supply permanently.
