Why we chose this stone
Just past a full carat, this cushion cut carries a C3 colour grade that strikes a comfortable middle ground — light enough to stay bright and easy to wear, warm enough to read clearly as champagne rather than a near-white diamond. The cushion's rounded corners and mixed facet pattern break that tone into small, shifting pockets of light, giving the stone a lively, glowing quality rather than one flat wash of colour. At this size, the cut has plenty of room to work with, letting the C3 grade show consistently across the stone's face. It comes from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, mined before the Argyle pipe's closure ended production of these diamonds for good.
