Why we chose this stone

Just under one and a quarter carats, this cushion cut carries a C3 grade with real presence — light enough to stay bright, warm enough to feel unmistakably champagne. The cushion's rounded corners and mixed facet pattern break that colour up into shifting pockets of light rather than one settled tone, so the stone reads as lively and glowing rather than heavy, even at a more restrained grade. At this size, there's plenty of surface for that movement to play out, giving the C3 hue genuine scope to show. It comes from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, the source of every Argyle diamond mined before the pipe's closure ended production permanently.
