Why we chose this stone

Over a carat and graded C2, this pear cut pairs genuine size with one of the lighter, more understated tones on the champagne scale — a faint gold cast that reads as warmth rather than a bold colour statement. The pear's brilliant-style faceting at the rounded end and elongated point make the most of that subtlety, throwing plenty of light and fire while the colour sits quietly underneath, adding just enough character to set the stone apart from a standard white diamond. The elongated silhouette also does what pear cuts are known for: flattering the hand and creating a sense of movement that rounder shapes don't offer. It comes from the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, mined before the Argyle pipe's closure ended production of these diamonds permanently.

At 1.21ct, this is a substantial stone in its own right, and a C2 grade gives it a versatility that suits both classic and contemporary settings — noticeable enough to feel distinctly Argyle, restrained enough to stay easy to wear.
