Why we chose this stone
Old cut diamonds trade the sharp fire of modern brilliants for something softer and more atmospheric — a higher crown, smaller table and larger culet that let light pool rather than flash. This 2.00 carat stone brings that character to a deep, richly toned champagne, one of the more intense expressions of the colour.
Its origin lies in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, home to the now-closed Argyle mine. Since the mine's closure in 2020, stones of genuine Australian champagne origin have become progressively harder to find, particularly in the deeper colour range this one occupies.
Supplied as a loose stone, ready to be set into a ring, pendant or bespoke design of your choosing. A certificate of authenticity is included, confirming Australian origin and provenance.
