Why we chose this stone
At a generous 1.50 carats, this oval cut diamond has a lot of presence while keeping the understated, easy-to-wear look the oval shape is known for. It was mined in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, in the same part of the country that produced Argyle’s famous stones before the mine closed in 2020, which makes any natural Australian champagne diamond a more limited find today. The elongated outline makes the stone look larger on the finger and sits well in a wide range of settings, from a classic solitaire to something more bespoke. Because it is offered loose, the design is entirely yours to decide. A mine certificate of authenticity accompanies the stone, confirming its Western Australian origin.
